How can I find a product I am looking for?

Easy: We have many ways on our website to search for products. You can enter any keyword for items at the top of the screen in the main search bar. You can also search for all products from a specific make on the right side of the home page. In the middle you can also search the entire catalog via make/model/year. Of course you can also use the traditional drop down menus from across the top of the page.

How can I place an order?

All orders are placed through our website, www.mufflerexpress.ca. We are able to offer such low prices because we keep our cost and overhead low. One of the ways we keep costs low is by encouraging customers to self-serve and purchase parts online. Once you have added an item to your shopping cart, you can start the checkout process by clicking the "CHECKOUT" button. You can also choose to continue shopping on the site and once you're ready to checkout, click on "CHECKOUT" from the mini shopping cart at the top right of your screen.

How will I know if my order went through?

You will receive an order confirmation email shortly after you complete the checkout process. Be sure to scan your junk mail folder just in case it didn't make it into your inbox. If it's been 48 hours and still no email confirmation in sight, email us and we'll figure it all out for you.

I just placed an order online, when will I receive it?

Please allow 1-2 business days for order processing and handling and then up to 7 business days for delivery throughout North America. most orders are processed within 24hrs and deliver within 3-4 business days. Once the shipping label is generated and tracking info provided you will be able to track in realtime. Note: check you emails as we send information about your order status.

How can I cancel an order?

You can cancel any item that has not yet shipped by simply emailing/chatting us. In the event where your order has shipped and a tracking number generated please email us. DO NOT simply refuse a shipped order and assume it will come back, this will result in you losing out on your order and potential refund.

The item will not fit my car, can I return ?

If a part doesn't fit, don't try to "make it fit" and risk damaging you, your car, or yourself. We won't accept responsibility for any costs exceeding the cost of the part, therefore please inspect the part before you start the repair including a "test-fit" without running the vehicle. DO NOT attempt to modify or excessively force the item to install. We will not issue return credit for parts which have been installed and the engine ran, painted, modified or returned without their original packaging. If you are not satisfied with the item, determine you don't need it, or have trouble installing for any reason, you can obtain return instructions by emailing us. In your email, please tell us your order number and the reason for the return. Please understand that email is the quickest and fastest way for us to process your return. Items being returned from outside Canada require special instructions, otherwise we may be billed additional charges by carriers. Returns from the US must be shipped USPS only. If charges are billed to us they WILL be deducted from your refund. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

How long will it be before I receive my order?

Once you've placed your order, please allow up to 2 business days for handling time. Once you receive a shipping confirmation email, your item(s) will be delivered via the shipping method you selected.

I just received an email with my tracking number and the number shows that my order was delivered. How is that possible?

If you see that the package was delivered but you haven't received it, be sure to check around your property, with your neighbours, or with any other members of your household. The package may have been left in a secure location if you weren't around at the time of delivery. If you still can't locate it, send us an email and we'll gladly get to the bottom of it.

My address will not go in, do you ship to me?

Orders being shipped to Nunavut, Yukon, Northwest Territories and some remote areas in Canada require us to quote shipping first. Canada is a vast country and shipping can be quite expensive to some areas. Simply email us and we will be glad to quote

I ordered multiple items, will I receive them separately?

Yes, we do not over-package items and try and fit large heavy orders in one box, our priority is to make sure the items arrive safely and intact to you. If multiple boxes are used, we will email all tracking numbers.

What courier do you use?

We currently use FedEx, CanPar, Purolator and Canada Post for shipments throughout Canada

Returns

We guarantee to refund unused or unmodified items when you return it in sellable condition, with the original receipt and packaging, within 30 days of your purchase. YOU MUST email us for return instructions or use the RETURNS link and the bottom on the home page

Used or modified items may not be refunded or exchanged at any time. Special order or clearance items indicated as no return or items marked as Final Sale. No items may be returned or exchanged between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

How long will it take to receive my refund?

If you purchased with a debit or credit card, you will see your refund within 2-5 business days from the processing date. However, depending on your financial institution, it could take up to 10 business days for your funds to be reflected on your statement. A Paypal refund should be reflected within 2-5 business days from the processing date.

What is your return policy?

Everything we sell is returnable for refund, except shipping, within 30 days. Restocking charges of 20% will apply, this is to cover the initial shipping and handling, inspection of the returned item, etc. Special order and discontinued items identified as "No Return" or "Final Sale" cannot be accepted as returns. Send us an email and we will email you the return instructions for your item and look into the item you need it exchanged for all in the same email.

Simply log into your account from the website and you can see all your previous orders. Should you not be able to locate it, send us an email and we will do our best to help.

Warranty

WARRANTY INFO

Muffler Express warrants that our catalytic converters are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed EPA emissions standards and Canadian emissions standards. The length of the limited warranty was determined when purchased, namely either 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years. Catalytic converters, both direct fit and universal, are not warranted against physical damage caused by road hazards, damaged caused by a malfunctioning ECU system, or vehicles not properly repaired or maintained. Typically converter failures. and non-warranty issues, fall in to one of the following categories:

• Physical damage due to corrosion, or from the converter contacting a large object on the road surface or “ballooning” of the converter body due to overheating of the substrate.
• Contamination due to excessive oil consumption, internal coolant leak, or excessive carbon build up.
• Overheating indicated by melted or broken substrate due to engine misfires or fuel trim issues which lead to excessive converter temperatures. This is indicated by a bluing or purplish coloring of the converter body.
• Thermo quenching when a hot converter is cold quenched when driving through deep water or into deep snow.
• Converter aging/lack of engine maintenance; cycles of damaging engine conditions will eventually deteriorate converter performance.

WARRANTY IS FOR REPLACEMENT ONLY NOT REFUND. No warranty on catalytic converters unless proof that primary oxygen sensor was replaced at the same time as the catalytic converter. Warranties only apply to the original purchaser of the part and to the application ( vehicle ) for which it was listed in our catalog. Terms listed apply for parts used on private passenger vehicles only; commercial, fleet, or off-road vehicles may be more limited. Warranties offer only replacement of the defective part with another part; no refunds and no reimbursements of labor costs, shipping costs, or other expenses. Replacement under warranty does not extend the term of the warranty, the warranties begin upon delivery.
